Factor Based Investing with Exchange Traded Funds
Please join us on Thursday, February 15, as we welcome Dan Waldron to speak to our chapter on factor-based investing with ETFs. Dan has over 24 years of experience in the industry, having worked extensively with most aspects of investment company product development and marketing.
The genesis of factor-based investing dates back to the 1960s with the introduction of the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM). Since then, there have been significant advances in academic research and technology, which have led financial advisors to think critically—and more broadly—about the sources for market returns and reducing risk for clients.
Dan’s presentation will address the following core concepts:
- What factor-based investing means
- Active versus passive investment approach
- Pros and cons of common factors
- Analyzing solution alternatives
- Available tools and resources
Our chapter meeting will be held at the Federal Reserve building in Liberty Park.
Lunch starts at 11:30 am, and we will move to our meeting room at 12:00 noon for the presentation.
