Vincent Sullivan, a great supporter of our local FPA Chapter, will help members become more familiar with the cash flows, both into and out of, 529 plans relative to tax deductions, state-to-state plan details and differences, federal tax advantages, and ensuring that your client’s 529 account is being used in the most tax efficient manner possible. He will also discuss how best to manage beneficiary changes for accounts that might last for several decades and cover multiple family generations, and how to manage the corresponding investment options from both a short- and long-term investment horizon. Third, Vince will discuss 529 tricks and traps, addressing the best and worst way to implement a 529 plan, including the intergenerational contribution match idea and the amazing Ray Loew story.
