Subject: FLASH Call for Nominations
The Nominating Committee of FPA WNY has been charged to present a slate of Board of Director candidates to serve on the Chapter’s Board of Directors. The two-year terms begin January 1, 2017.
The Board’s nine members are responsible for the Chapter’s policy and governance in accordance with the Mission Statement: The mission of the Financial Planning Association of Western New York is to provide the membership with opportunities for networking, continuing education and media exposure; to promote the highest standards of ethics, knowledge and skills in the financial planning profession; and to communicate to the public the value of the financial planning process conducted in accordance with the Financial Planning Association Code of Ethics.
The strength and growth of FPA WNY depends on qualified and dedicated leadership. Individuals who are interested in serving are encouraged to nominate themselves. To do so, please complete the petition form found at and submit to the Chapter office no later than November 4, 2016.
All candidates must hold membership in FPA and the WNY Chapter.
A future emailing will show the slate of candidates. Additional nominations from the floor may be accepted at the Annual Meeting, provided the nominee agrees. If a member is nominated for office from the floor in absentia, the nominee must have accepted the nomination in writing.
