The FPA of Southwestern Ohio offers its members many pre-organized charitable opportunities to serve the public. Below you will find some that were easy to implement but gave great satisfaction and media/marketing benefits. In addition to these events, we will pass onto our members announcements from local community service organizations and other professional societies that are offering community service opportunities of interest.
We believe in advocating for issues that are crucial to practitioners of the financial planning community. Participating Advocacy Days will empower you to positively interact with policymakers and display FPA’s strength as the association for all CFP® professionals. State Advocacy Days help you connect with your local legislators and regulators to build important relationships that help influence the right people. FPA Advocacy seeks to advance and protect your profession by proactively seeking out those who vote on issues that affect your profession.
Financial Planning Day
Our Financial Planning Day is a series of community events aimed at helping Americans discover the value of financial planning. It gives under-served residents an opportunity to meet one-on-one with dozens of highly qualified CFP professionals. They will be able to discuss their personal finance questions, concerns and interests through both a free private consultation and a series of informative classroom workshops. Our Financial Planning Days take place bi-yearly. This year it took place on October 13, 2018.
Our weekly eblast often includes other pro-bono needs and opportunities happening nationally.
